Lisa Eldridge Eyeshadow Palette Review

[unpaid/sample] I have two palettes to show you from Lisa Eldridge’s new eyeshadow palette collection and I have to point out that Vega is currently sold out. But there will be more and other options are still available.

Lisa Eldridge Eyeshadow Palette Review

I’ve used all the colors from Vega trying out different looks (which appear), but the color I’m fixated on is the middle top row, Smoke & Mirrors. It’s a deep gray that actually looks a bit lighter both in the palette and on the skin – I’m not even sure it suits me, but this is a shade that doesn’t come up very often in palettes and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The palettes are a mix of matte, velvet (semi-matte), metallic and shimmer and the mix varies from palette to palette.

From bottom to top: French Grey, Smoke and Mirrors, Moon Vortex, Turbulence, Supernova and Black Lamp. Smoke, Turbulence and Lamp are matte, Supernova is luminous, French Gray is velvet and Moonswirl is metallic.

So, two different views on one face! On the left, I put Turbulence all over the lid and washed Moonswirl over the top – Turbulence has enough depth to take a shimmery topper, yet is more muted in tone than I expected – and under the eyes I have a smudged line of Lamp Black. I used brown kohl on the inner rims (VB HERE). On the right, I used Smoke & Mirrors with a wash of Supernova and a little more Lamp Black underneath. I use black kohl (VB HERE ) on the inner lids and Chanel mascara on both (HERE – I love it – it is rich and lush). On my lips is Beauty by Lisa Eldridge (gloss). I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Lisa works on the goblet – a new breed of luxurious, ultra-soft kohl just waiting to be a star.

This is a myth. I haven’t tried this yet other than swatching – I don’t know if I’m ready for purple, but I’ll give it a shot on Instagram, if not here. The top row has some similar shades to the Vega, and the colors are so deep they’re almost tactile – there’s a part of me that wants to run my fingers over the colors just to get a physical sense of the colors. I’ve been using a swatch brush, but once I’m done with the photo, I go in – those are the colors that need to be touched up.

See what I mean – if these shades were presented to you as fabric, you wouldn’t be able to keep your fingers crossed! Bottom to top: Nocturna (velvet, black plum – kohl please!), Illusionism (top coat), Mauve Decade (velvet), Faded Amethyst (metallic), Victorian Ornament (velvet), and Violet Stone (velvet). It is still in stock HERE for £49. Other palettes include Cinnibar (brown and bronze) and Muse (rose gold inspired). Lisa’s palettes are as inspired as you’d expect them to be – she explores shades so much that there are many shades of color that you won’t find anywhere else, all from the touch of a palette. case the color coordination is perfect. I had a bit of a fall out with some of the shades – tap the brush before applying if you have applied a lot on the brush.
